How the two work together
- Do I need an account?
- Not for offline models - download the app and run them. Online models are an optional paid service: sign in with a Flowsta Identity - an identity you create and keep yourself in Flowsta Vault, with 24 words as the key - and pay per use across the whole catalog.
- Which should I use?
- You don't have to keep up - that's the app's job. There are a lot of models and they change constantly, so Your Own AI routes for you: install offline models, add the online service, or both, and auto routing picks the best model you have for each question - local for private everyday work, online (always with your consent) when a question genuinely needs the frontier. And if you want control, the routing settings let you pin exactly which model handles what.
- What stays private?
- There are two honest answers. Offline is the only way to be 100% certain: open models running in an open-source app on your own computer - nothing leaves your device, and you can verify that. Online, that certainty doesn't exist anywhere, so we made the service as privacy-conscious as possible: you sign in with the privacy-first Flowsta Vault, requests reach providers with no account or identifier attached, your history stays on your device, and nothing goes online without your consent.
